Jamie Boswell of Colosseum Boxing Gym secured a thrilling victory against Reece Boyle in a charity boxing event at South Moreton Boxing Club. The event aimed to raise money and awareness for the Cornermen charity.
The fight began with Boswell coming out strong in the first round, displaying an aggressive approach against his tough opponent. The match was evenly contested, with both fighters exchanging blows in a back-and-forth battle that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
However, Boswell’s determination paid off in the second round when he launched a heavy onslaught against Boyle. The intense pressure from Boswell ultimately led referee Ian Honeywood to wave off the fight, declaring Boswell the victor. In a moment of jubilation, Coach Danny Humphreys entered the ring and lifted Boswell into the air, celebrating the hard-fought win.
After the match, Boswell praised the atmosphere at South Moreton Boxing Club, stating, “What a brilliant atmosphere. It’s small, but that is what makes it better.” He also candidly admitted to being wobbled at one point during the fight, highlighting the competitive nature of the bout.
Boswell credited his success to following his corner’s instructions, saying, “I listened to what my corner told me and got the job done.” He expressed gratitude for the support he received and encouraged everyone to look into the charities the show was raising money for. The victorious boxer also hinted at the possibility of returning to the event in the future.
The charity boxing match not only provided an exciting spectacle for fight fans but also served as a platform to support the Cornermen charity, showcasing the boxing community’s commitment to giving back.
